Snorkeling Trip out to the Great Barrier Reef

THE GREAT BARRIER REEF! We spent the day out at the Outer Reef. We put on stinger suits ( apparently there are a lot of jelly fish stingers in the warm waters which the Aussies take really seriously) and snorkel, mask and fins and headed out to 3 different locations on the reef. We saw amazing fish and sea turtles and beautiful coral. I will have to share the pics later from my underwater camera!

I met a friend who signed up for the trip as well, and then met alot of interesting people with interesting stories. Apparently there are a few people out there doing the Eat, Pray, Love Trips.

Beautiful Boat Trip out to the Reef. It took about 1 1/2 Hrs.But we had morning and afternoon tea and a wonderful seafood buffet lunch. It was a most wonderful day :)

Here is the US Coastguard Ship anchored in the Cairnes Harbor! Nicole and Jayce have a good friend stationed there. He arrived yesterday. What a small world!

  4. I already picked up the "no worries" saying. The other thing that I picked up from the UK is to say "brilliant" in response to just about everything. The taste of food...the look of something...the ingenuity of something...it is just a brilliant word!!! :-)
